Balanced Funds are typically mutual funds that invest in a range of asset classes. The objective is to provide diversification for an investor as the Fund’s assets are diversified between a number of different asset classes. Stocks, ETFs, Fixed Income, Real Estate, possibly Commodities and cash. Balanced Funds are generally managed with an eye to managing risk while providing a mix between potential growth and income. These funds are considered for the medium to long term and do provide a level of diversification.
