Earnings Call

An Earnings Call is a Conference Call held between a Company’s Senior Management, Institutional Investors and the Analytical Community. The Call is held to discuss the recent Earnings Report and other issues.

An Earnings Call is an event often quoted in the media “on the Earnings Call” and refers to a Conference Call hosted by the Company. The Call is between the Senior Management and the Investor Relations staff of a listed Company, the Analytical Community, Institutional Investors and the Financial Media. The purpose of the Conference Call is for Management to discuss the recently released Earnings Report, quarterly or annual and summary information on the Company’s earnings results. Once the presentation by Management has concluded, the floor is open for a Question-and-Answer session.
