Technical Analysis

Technical Analysis is the analysis of Share and Index Price Data and Trading Volumes. This done via a graphical representation of Stock Prices, Volatility and Trading Volumes, is known as Technical Analysis.

Technical Analysis of the Stock Markets demonstrates that investor psychology can play a significant influence on future price direction. It is a branch of Equity Analysis which relies on the analysis of Share and Index Price Data and Trading Volumes. Technical Analysis involves the interpretation of the graphical representation of Stock Prices, trends in Volatility and Trading Volumes. There are many graphs, some of the most common graphs used include Bollinger Bands, RSI, MACD, Moving Averages and Stochastic Analysis. Be aware, there is the debate if Technical Analysis is valid in predicting a Stock’s forthcoming price movements. Or should Technical Analysis be used as a screening tool, to understand where increased activity, positive or negative, is occurring.
